For aviation, Aon Specialty has deliberately created itself as a niche player. It is comprised entirely of staff who have previously worked for large multinational direct brokers but who have instead decided that they would rather work in a small, focused team and concentrate on providing extraordinary levels of service and expertise. We have chosen our specialties carefully, concentrating on areas where we feel we can offer a differential. This comprises five main areas:

- Airport owners / operators and other airport ground service providers including refuellers and refiners
- Aircraft operators / helicopter operators
- Non flag carrying airlines
- Finance houses / lessors / charterers
Our rapidly expanding portfolio is testament to the success of our strategy. As well as the placement of insurance at highly competitive rates, we provide analytical advice and offer advice on insurance provisions of contracts to ensure that our customers are properly protected.
